Intermediate players should be able to keep score, consistently serve legal overhand serves into the correct service box from the baseline, and easily rally back and forth with another player.

Advanced players should be proficient at all intermediate skills, have significant match play experience (most playing on school teams), and should be able to hit topspin during rallies. They should be in the process of developing power, spin, and strategy. Players need to attend a tryout session at Riverside Park or Marian University.
